OUR PROCESS

PRE CONSTRUCTION

Everything starts with a conversation. We want to understand you, your goals, lifestyle, schedule, and budget. In this phase, we advise and consult in taking your project from concept to execution, planning for a successful outcome. As your constructability consultant, we guide you on three key factors: 1) project timeline, 2) costs, and 3) feasibility. Being engaged during pre-construction enables us to provide a clear picture of what it will take to build the project.

We begin with a site visit and walkthrough by our team. If you’re working with a designer or architect, we’ll request access to any in-progress drawings for this walkthrough. Afterward, we’ll provide a pro bono Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate based on historical data from past projects, helping set realistic cost expectations. Once we agree on a cost range, we’ll formalize the contract and refine the estimate, gathering bids for specialized subcontracted work.

CONSTRUCTION

After the pre-construction phase, we transition into construction. A dedicated Project Manager becomes your main contact, collaborating with our on-site Superintendent and skilled in-house team of artisans, carpenters, masons, and building experts. Together, they coordinate all activities, ensuring top quality, adherence to the schedule, and budget control.

Communication is key and remains our top priority throughout the construction process. Through our custom software, we offer live cost tracking and regular weekly updates, including:

  • Real-time cost tracking against your project’s estimate via our ‘Client View’

  • A log with photos and a summary of that weeks’ work

  • Primary schedule updates

  • A 4-week look ahead of the scheduled site activities

  • Weekly or bi-weekly project meetings with all stakeholders managed and documented by your project manager

These weekly updates ensure frequent and detailed communication that support our commitment to fiscal transparency and keep you in the driver seat of your project.

POST CONSTRUCTION

Every completed project gets a custom Homeowner’s Manual including specific operation and maintenance documentation for all appliances, mechanicals, fixtures, finishes, etc.  We offer tailor-made care and maintenance plans for every home. All of our projects come with a comprehensive warranty and a clean chain of custody. Even after construction is complete, we’ll continue to check in with clients throughout the first year, maintaining open lines for any questions or concerns.
